Well to start, Christa Leigh is my given name. So I supposed the beginnings of Christa Leigh was in 1988. I love nicknames and had many growing up. Doodlebug. Lulabelle. Christa Leigh. But as I've grown older, I'm just plain Christa. Every once in a while, on a bad day when it feels like the world is against me and I wish I could run away and be six years old again, I think to myself "I just want to be Christa Leigh again."
One of my biggest hopes in life is to live with a child-like wonder, to believe in whimsy, and live wide-eyed and hopeful that goodness and glory is all around. The days that I live like that I feel alive and full and free and I think to myself, "Finally, I feel like Christa Leigh again."
So that's what Christa Leigh Photography is all about. It's about finding glory and goodness. It's about freedom and full life. It's about being fully free to be fully me.
As I get the opportunity to capture moments of joy and beauty, new life swells up in my soul. I love helping to bring about that life in the people I get to capture in still moments.
